McCool's Flooring is not a franchise or a big-box chain. It is a family business, built on hard work and a genuine commitment to the community.
Carole McCool helped turn a simple idea into a thriving business, spotting the opportunity to supply materials while her husband Virgil was out installing carpet. Together they built something that was always meant to be bigger than just one store.
Their son Doug carried that vision forward. In 1987 he opened a small remnant shop in Kokomo, and by the early 1990s the family had merged everything into a full showroom and warehouse operation. By 1994, Doug and his wife Carmen had opened the second location, which eventually became the Carmel store you can visit today.
When you walk into our Carmel showroom, you are walking into something the McCool family has been building for nearly 60 years.
